Something big is coming...

Introducing PACE Index

SOS-UK and zedela have joined forces to launch a pioneering European campaign… PACE (Progress on Action for Climate Equity) Index.

Moving at PACE to a climate sector for EVERYONE.

What is PACE Index?

PACE Index is a collaboration between SOS-UK and zedela in Germany, pioneers in data-driven advocacy for historically marginalised communities in Europe.

By working initially with leading non-profit organisations in Belgium, France, Germany, and the Netherlands, PACE Index works to address discrimination, systemic inequities, redistribute power, and amplify the voices and narratives of under-represented communities.

We aim to build a more representative,  equitable, and inclusive future for all in the climate sector.

Our goal?

Drive collaborative progress on the inclusion of under-represented communities, by building a more diverse, representative and equitable climate sector in Europe to ensure a just future for all.

Know an organisation that should be involved?

How?

  • By promoting transparency and accountability, through GDPR-compliant data collection on the diversity of climate and conservation NGO organisations.
  • By translating the data into meaningful change through positive action
  • By facilitating engagement activities that aim to understand experiences of discrimination, support, platform and empower under-represented communities

Key Objectives?

PACE Index seeks to achieve three core objectives:

  1. Increase transparency: Illuminate the inclusion of under-represented communities in the European climate and conservation NGO sector.
  2. Catalyse equitable practices: Foster more inclusive practices through shared resources and collaborative efforts.
  3. Empower under-represented communities: Amplify the voices and influence of under-represented groups and organisations in the climate and conservation movement across mainland Europe.

Together, zedela, a German non-profit, supports organisations across the EU with research and data on anti-discrimination and equality. SOS-UK, a UK-based anti-racist non-profit, empowers students and communities to drive environmental justice.
